If this is the case, and please excuse my language, then these guys are retarded. It's not like Notch has servers, offices, sales, employees to worry about before he can even think about magically whipping up an update at will without the need to program or test or anything. It's not like these DDOS attacks might be slowing down his progress of updating, oh no, that would be ridiculous!
Seriously, if these idiots think that Notch is denying them updates for some kind...
1st one looks real because I see no signs of "polygon edges", but unrealistic because of lighting.
2nd one just looks unrealistic because of lighting (they sure did pile on the bloom).'
3rd one looks like a painting of a metro station, but it could be a picture. Either way it's definitely not from a game.
Ever since Peter Moleneux said in a press conference that they would simplify Fable III because 60% of the content in Fable II, I had lost all hope. Fable II was simplified enough as it was, and now with 1-Button combat and one weapon that changes automatically, it seems really dumbed down to me.
Not that I've played it or anything, just saying that I probably won't play it to begin with.
I think one of the little appeals of Netflix is that it's a very personalized service. It will show genres and related movies based on what you liked and watched. Even the ratings on movies are influenced by the types of movies you watched. A "most popular" category would be counter-intuitive.
LittleBigPlanet is an epically amazing game. I enjoy making levels as much as I do finding awesome new ones. I even enjoy the occasional well-crafted tribute. What I don't enjoy is the fact that almost every single tribute is huge news while the stuff that's actually original is ignored by the masses.
Re-creations just don't do anything for me. I'm fine with watching a video and maybe playing one a bit, but on its own a re-creation within a game is generally u...
Sarcasm of course. Sure, Little Big Planet is an awesome game and re-creating games like Bioshock, Flower and Portal is no small feat, but at the end of the day they're all cheap knockoffs which are only noticed because of the whole "game within a game" novelty.
I can bet that if any of us saw any of these video demonstrations and they weren't games within games, we'd be far less impressed. They're cheap knockoffs, so fuck 'em. I'd rather be ...
Yeah, amazing original stuff is pretty cool, but cheap imitations of OTHER games are even better!
@Baka-akaB
I disagree. Multiplayer is all fine and well, but Microsoft is really pushing the whole "omni-media-box" thing these days, and it's actually doing well for them. Netflix is literally the only reason I have a paid Xbox Live subscription, multi-player I can get from the PC. Otherwise I just use the Xbox for exclusives and split-screen gaming.
<insert rude joke about Wiis and coming first>
It's cool, you're excused because this mod has you driving with your hands where in Half-Life 2 you were a poltergeist mystically commanding the vehicles to move. o_0
"...well thought out levels to DRIVABLE VEHICLES (a first for the HL2 universe)."
Uhh... wat?
Probably something pretentious like the "Xbox 2".
They're all laughably retarded designs, barring the third one, which even then only looks good because it's similar to the Zune design aesthetic. Seriously people, Microsoft has toyed with all sorts of wacky designs, but the only ones that work are clean and at least somewhat rectangular. Deal with it.
Okay, which one of you disagreed with me? HAVE AT YE, YE COWARDLY COWARD!
Can't we all just come together and realize that one type of fanboy is as retarded as the next?
Sadly, a newbie really does need training for Left 4 Dead these days, what with the rampant groups of elitist fucks that votekick every player who falls one foot behind the group or one foot ahead.
I've seen cases where either the fans are right and the developer doesn't know what they're doing or the developer makes a blockbuster game in spite of their fans' bickering.
It's fucking awful. The controls are bad, the two sides are imbalanced, the map design is entirely made of long corridors, and spawn camping is really, really easy for the necromorphs.
It's like Left 4 Dead + the new AvP, in fact it takes all of the qualities from those games and somehow makes them all terrible. The fact that you can choose what type of necromorph you are (everyone chooses Spitter =/) tips the balance in all sorts of crazy ways, and "tackling&quo...
Because Google TV has TOTALLY been out since 2007.
...but it's mainly due to clever use of shaders and animation. The textures are 'meh' and the model quality is okay, but I find it impressive how well the game is held up by the shaders.
This includes lighting effects, shadows, reflections, etc. I've rarely seen such good looking weapon viewmodels, and that's all due to the shaders baby. :D
